Sustainable macadamias

As it turns out, macadamias aren’t just health-friendly, they’re eco-friendly too. Macadamia trees take anywhere from five to seven years just to begin producing nuts and continue to do so for a 100 years - that means 100 years of soil protection against things like nutrient depletion and erosion

Sustainable farming

With macadamias’ long and fruitful life cycle in mind, long term sustainable farming thinking is crucial in ensuring the health of the industry for years to come. For that reason we work with and encourage our select macadamia farmers to adopt the same eco-friendly mindset that we as a company promote and use new sustainable water-conserving irrigation technologies and sprinkler systems.

By endorsing world-leading water and energy efficient sprinkler systems, our farmers are able to irrigate our macadamia trees  from the root, promoting a healthy and vibrant root system, maximizing macadamia nut yields. This amazing system has been proven in the most harsh conditions of the Sahara Dessert where large scale agriculture is now possible due to its crop cooling ability and wind resistance.

We want to be around for a long time, and so do our farmers

In order to ensure the long-term health of the industry, we work with select farmers who share the same eco-friendly mindset that we as a company promote and use new sustainable and water-conserving irrigation technologies.

And if that wasn’t enough, macs aren’t just health-friendly, they’re eco-friendly too. Macadamia trees take anywhere from five to seven years just to begin producing nuts and continue to do so for a 100 years - that means 100 years of soil protection against things like nutrient depletion and erosion.
